About Us
Alta Growth Capital is a private equity fund that invests in middle-market companies operating in Mexico and Latin America. We target sectors benefiting from the rising domestic consumption of goods and services in the Mexican and Latin American market, including industries such as consumer goods, retail, healthcare, education, and selective manufacturing and industrial sectors.
The team at Alta Growth Capital is comprised of Mexican, Latin American and U.S. nationals with deep networks and significant business experience, both operating and investing in companies. In addition to our investment, we bring these resources to bear on each portfolio company to create the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.
Investment strategy
Alta Growth Capital makes growth equity investments in Mexican and Latin American middle market companies that are benefiting from Mexico’s and Latin American domestic growth and demographics. Typically, we look for companies that have between US$15 and US$120 million in revenues and we invest between US$10 and US$30 million in each portfolio company. We will take both majority and minority positions, as well as invest in buyouts; although in every case we will need a clear path to exit.
In addition, Alta seeks to invest in established companies with proven operational track records, solid management, strong legal, ethical, and accounting standards, while taking into account the impact of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) matters in all investment decisions. Alta is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment sponsored by the United Nations, undertaking to apply such Principles in its investment policy. As a growth equity fund, our focus is primarily on expansion stage opportunities.
